CREATED IN HIS IMAGE

Beloved kingdom citizens, today we speak about a truth that changes everything. You were created in the image of God. This is not a symbol. This is not poetry. This is the foundation of your life.

The Bible says, “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them” (Genesis 1:27). Your life did not come from chance. You did not appear by mistake. God planned you. God wanted you. God formed you.

To be created in His image does not mean God looks like you in body. God is Spirit. The Bible says, “God is Spirit” (John 4:24). The image is not about shape. It is about nature. It is about what you carry inside.

God made you able to think. He made you able to choose. He made you able to love. He made you able to rule under His authority. He made you able to reflect Him.

The Bible says, “You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands” (Psalm 8:5–6). This shows your value. This shows your position in God’s plan.

When God created man, He did something special. “The LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life” (Genesis 2:7). You are dust with God’s breath. You carry something that came from Him.

This is why your life has value. Your value does not come from money. Your value does not come from school. Your value does not come from your job. Your value does not come from people’s opinions. Your value comes from God.

The Bible says, “Men… have been made in the similitude of God” (James 3:9). Every human being carries this mark. This is why life is sacred. This is why violence is evil. This is why hatred is dangerous.

God said, “For in the image of God He made man” (Genesis 9:6). To attack a person is to attack what God made.

You must stop insulting yourself. You must stop calling yourself useless. You must stop seeing yourself as nothing. You are God’s work. The Bible says, “For we are His workmanship” (Ephesians 2:10).

Yet, when we look at the world, we see much evil. We see lies. We see pride. We see cruelty. Why is this so?

The Bible answers clearly. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Sin damaged what God made. The image was not removed, but it was broken.

Adam was made in God’s image. But his children were born in a fallen condition. The Bible says Adam “begot a son in his own likeness, after his image” (Genesis 5:3). This explains why the human heart has deep problems.

The Bible says, “The heart is deceitful above all things” (Jeremiah 17:9). The problem is not only outside. The problem is inside.

But God did not abandon His plan. He did not throw away His creation. He planned restoration.

The Bible says about Jesus, “He is the image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15). He came to show us what man should look like. He came to show us the original design.

The Bible also says, “He is the express image of His person” (Hebrews 1:3). When you look at Him, you see what God wanted from the beginning.

God’s goal is not only to forgive you. God’s goal is to change you. The Bible says, “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29).

Salvation is not only escape from judgment. It is the restoration of nature. The Bible says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

This new life grows step by step. The Bible says, “The new man… is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him” (Colossians 3:10). This means change is a process.

The Bible also says, “We… are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory” (2 Corinthians 3:18). You change by what you look at. You become like what fills your mind.

That is why the Bible says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2).

When God’s image works in your life, it shows in your character. The Bible says, “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Galatians 5:22–23).

These are not religious actions. These are signs of God’s nature in a person.

Jesus said, “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35).

People must see God’s nature in your daily life. They must see it in your home. They must see it in your work. They must see it in your words and in your choices.

Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men” (Matthew 5:16).

God gave you His image for a reason. He gave it to you so you can represent Him. The Bible says, “Let Us make man in Our image… let them have dominion” (Genesis 1:26). Image comes before assignment.

You cannot live well if you do not know who you are.

The Bible says, “We are ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20). An ambassador represents his kingdom. You represent heaven on earth.

When people forget who they are, they live carelessly. They destroy others. They destroy themselves. The Bible says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18).

The prodigal son forgot his identity and lived like an animal. But the Bible says, “He came to himself” (Luke 15:17). Many lives change when a person remembers who he is.

You must also change how you see others. Every person carries God’s mark. This does not excuse sin. But it explains value.

Jesus said, “Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these… you did it to Me” (Matthew 25:40).

The Bible says, “If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar” (1 John 4:20).

Here are simple steps to walk in this truth. Start each day remembering who you are. The Bible says, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14).

Watch what fills your mind. The Bible says, “Whatever things are true… think on these things” (Philippians 4:8).

Choose obedience. Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15).

Stay in the Word. The Bible says it cleanses us “with the washing of water by the word” (Ephesians 5:26).

Walk with wise people. “He who walks with wise men will be wise” (Proverbs 13:20).

God is not finished with you. The Bible says, “When He is revealed, we shall be like Him” (1 John 3:2). And it also says, “He who has begun a good work in you will complete it” (Philippians 1:6).

Kingdom citizens, stop living below your calling. Stop copying the world. You carry God’s mark. You bear His image.

The Bible says, “What does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8).

This is how people will see God again through you.

Amen.
